Our data center has a unique history in that prior to ITA utilizing it, it was the computer room for SIGECO (now Vectren) where Bob Bottomley, the father of David Bottomley- VP of Business Solutions at ITA, worked for over 30 years operating mainframe computer systems. It's a small world indeed.
ITA has since added new equipment, modernized and recertified existing equipment, and transformed it into the state of the art data center that it is today in order to offer world-class data center services to our clients who need a secure, environmentally controlled facility with redundant power and Internet connections to locate their servers or equipment.
Additionally, ITA can maintain and support customer co-located equipment just as we do customer equipment that is not located at our facility.
Why Consider an Off-Site Data Center?
- Today, many industries mandate secure data storage for HIPAA compliance, PCI compliance, etc. The last thing you want is for a database of patient or client records with confidential data such as medical records, social security numbers, etc. to be sitting on a server under a desk or in an office environment.
- We all know off-site backup is a critical component to your IT infrastructure, but so is business continuity. Consider backing your data up to our secure data center, or even running servers at our data center in parallel with your office servers, capable of taking over immediately in the event of a server failure or even a natural disaster such as a tornado or flood that shuts down your office systems.
